A place to look out
An empty wooden lookout tower stands in shallow water beside flat rocks. A ladder leans down on its right, with white waves beyond. Photography by Lu Heng.

The platform is empty. Through its open frame, the sea remains visible. The ladder slopes into shallow water on the right, and flat rocks show beneath and beside the tower. Farther out, white waves run across the picture.
The straight timber posts make a small frame inside the wider view. Looking through them, rather than only at the structure, brings the moving water into the centre of the photograph.
