Regent Street at Dusk
Traffic, pedestrians and illuminated façades fill London's Regent Street as dusk turns the sky blue and a passing taxi becomes a streak of colour.

The photograph captures Regent Street at dusk, when the deep blue sky begins to set off the illuminated façades. The street's curving architecture forms a composed backdrop to bright shopfronts and the movement below, bringing older masonry and contemporary city life into the same frame.
Red double-decker buses occupy the roadway while a brightly coloured taxi passes through the foreground in a blur. Pedestrians gather along the pavements, lit by windows and streetlights, and reflections add further movement at ground level.
The contrast between the steady buildings and passing traffic gives the scene its energy. Rather than presenting the street as a fixed landmark, the photograph shows it as an active part of London, shaped moment by moment by light, people and motion.
