A reminder beside the water
A painted hanging ornament and the words 不忘初心 share a view across the water. Photography by Lu Heng.
A small painted ornament hangs close to the lens. Beyond it, water and a distant shore spread across the frame in soft bands of colour.
The four large Chinese characters on the right, 不忘初心, mean “do not forget your original intention.” They bring a reminder into an ordinary view. The date 2019.03.24 is written below the smaller text.
