Red across the green
A diagonal line of small red flags crosses sunlit leaves and deep shade. Photography by Lu Heng.

The flags run from the darker lower left toward the bright upper right. Yellow stars show on the nearer red surfaces, and small bulbs hang along the same line.
Behind them, the leaves break the light into many separate patches. The line of flags gives the eye a single route through that scattered green.
