The arrow and the open sky
The Midpoint Café sign stands alone against a grey sky, its arrow pointing beyond the picture. Photography by Lu Heng.

The café itself is outside the picture. Its name and a broad arrow are all we have to go on, standing high against an otherwise empty sky.
Look along the arrow’s edge and the paint begins to break up. The lettering is still bold. Something made to be read in passing rewards a longer look.
