A flower of light
A pale firework opens above the water, with smoke around it and a broken reflection below.

The burst has the round outline of a flower, but look at its edges: some points are bright and distinct, while others dissolve into smoke. The sky is full of small traces that the first flash of light can make easy to miss.
Below the shoreline, the reflection loses that round shape. It becomes a narrow, broken strip of light. Looking from the sky to the water gives the same burst two very different forms.
