Held between two fingers
A tiny tufted seed, held in sunlight against the darker interior of a car. Photography by Lu Heng.

The white tuft is scarcely wider than a fingertip. Its fine strands spread from a single point, clear against the dark diagonal of the car window frame.
The fingers catch so much light that their edges almost disappear. The small seed holds its shape between them, while the mirror and the world outside soften into colour.
