Water, step by step
A stream falls over successive rock ledges, with small stones in the pools and green plants along the banks. Photography by Lu Heng.

The stream crosses several rock ledges on its way toward the foreground. Each drop has a different shape: a small white opening between stones above, a wider spill in the middle, then long pale strands near the camera.
The rocks remain sharply defined beside the softened water. Small pools interrupt the falls, giving the eye places to pause as it follows the stream downhill.
