Single Pink Water Lily Amongst Pads
A single pink water lily rises among green pads above the pond’s dark, mirrorlike surface.

In the picture, a pink water lily came into view on the pond, a lone splash of color among green pads. Below, the water rested, its surface a dark mirror. The air was mild, with a faint odor of moist soil. The flower, whose petals were pink, rose above the pads like a single star in a canopy of green.
Stillness lay heavy, its silence punctuated by the slight plop of water falling from a pad. Pads nestled around the lily, some flushed with pale yellow. Sunlight filtered through, making the pink petals shine.
From here, the scene felt like a quiet poem—one delicate bloom nestled in the water. The world simplified to the lily’s gentle shape, the pond’s glassy surface, and the air’s soft touch. The pink lily, like a quiet secret, bridges water and sky. Just as beauty lingers in small things, this lily turns the pond into a living painting.
