A place beneath the stars
A tent and two chairs sit beneath a broad tree and a star-filled sky. Photography by Lu Heng.

The tree takes up much of the left side of the picture, its branches opening into the stars. At its foot, a small fire lights the front of a tent. Two empty chairs and a white vehicle complete the campsite.
The sky is vast, but the chairs offer a familiar measure. They bring the view back to the height of someone sitting beside the fire, looking up.
