An Istanbul Bridge at Night
In a black-and-white night view of Istanbul, an illuminated suspension bridge spans dark water beside a hillside covered with city lights.

In the stillness of night, an illuminated suspension bridge extends across dark water in Istanbul. Its cables and towers form bright, precise lines, while scattered city lights rise along the hillside beyond.
The monochrome treatment reduces the scene to structure, light and shadow. The water appears subdued rather than mirror-smooth, carrying broken traces of illumination beneath the bridge.
The photograph balances the engineered geometry of the crossing with the less regular pattern of the city around it. Buildings recede into the slope, while the bridge remains suspended across the centre of the view.
Without colour, attention settles on proportion and distance. The image becomes a study of how a large urban structure occupies the darkness and how its lights connect two otherwise indistinct shores.
