Coastal City Between Sunset and Night
Seen from above, a coastal city and its harbour begin to light up as orange sunset fades into deep blue and the water catches the remaining colour.

Day and night hold the city in a delicate balance. The sun has dropped from view, leaving orange near the horizon and a gradual transition through yellow into deep blue. Sea and sky meet along a narrow band of light, while the water breaks the remaining colour into shifting reflections.
As the light changes, the city begins to glow. Windows and streets mark the coast with small points and lines of illumination. Docks and jetties extend into the harbour, their outlines softened by distance and the dimming evening.
The city appears suspended in the interval between sunset and darkness. More than a record of the skyline, the photograph preserves a brief transition in which water, buildings and sky seem to pause together.
