Sand through clear water
Sunlight catches clear blue-green water over pale sand, with a lace of white foam across the foreground. Photography by Lu Heng.

Much of the sand is still visible through the water. Near the top, the blue-green colour is stronger; closer to us, it thins into pale ripples and a loose pattern of white foam. Small reflections gather along the left side.
There is no horizon in this view. The changing waterline fills the photograph, and looking closely means following the places where sand, light and foam remain visible together.
