Aerial view of a city skyline in mist
A city skyline seen from above layers tall and low-rise buildings through pale atmospheric haze.

This photo shows a city skyline from a high angle through haze. Tall skyscrapers appear stacked layer upon layer, their shapes blurred by the haze, giving a sense of depth and unreality. The part of the city near the bottom of the image, where open land lies among shorter buildings, is clearer. The effect is that the whole scene is somewhat otherworldly, with the mist blurring the lines of the buildings and weaving the cityscape into the hazy sky above.
