Stunning Aerial View of Apple Park in Cupertino

Apple-Park

Apple Park looks like a serene spacecraft in the center of Cupertino, its circular design effortlessly nesting into the site and surrounding landscape echoing the nearby hills. The gently curving, one-story central building, known as The Spaceship, allows glass and steel to coexist with stone lawns, gardens and rows of trees; the end result is a relationship with nature which promotes movement and meditation through fields of open space and tree-covered walk ways.

The growing meadows at the inside core of the circle shape reflect respect for nature and a dedication sustainability. The other buildings located at the perimeter show each building’s multiple programmatic functions on campus, where workspaces and research facilities all sit below the tree line as an extension to the existing landscape.

A pale blue sky above spills light over the scene, and blurs the edges of the tree and building, crafting a feeling of stillness over the campus. The shadows cast from the trees, and reflective surfaces of glass and steel, create a mutual rhythm between built form and living, breathing architecture.

The photograph captures scale and nuance; forms demonstrate elegance while worlds reveal the thought behind each curve. It is not simply a view of buildings, but a vision for what can can exist alongside human ingenuity and the natural world — a place where work and inspiration, and living, can be phased together.
