The water shifts constantly, but the koi do not hurry. Their colours scatter across the frame—gold against grey, red against silver. Each fish bends with the ripples, their movement gentle, unplanned. The reflections of sky and leaf mix with them, creating a surface that belongs to both air and depth.
The light is soft, yet sharp enough to mark detail: a fin turning, a mouth breaking the surface. The still image catches what never stops moving, folding reflection and reality into one layer.
After a while, the eye stops separating fish from water. The scene becomes pure rhythm, as if the colour itself were alive, breathing through the surface.
